Year 6 students from local primary school Wormholt Park visited TVC today to help construct a hotel for bugs and insects.

Brian and Lekha from the garden management team laid the foundations before the team of fifteen helpers from Wormholt brought their expertise to the site. With cardboard, twigs and stones they fitted out the hotel to the highest standard, adding pinecones and flowers for a decorative finish.

Once the work was complete the first guests at the hotel began to appear. There were a number of spiders, snails, worms and ants who could be seen enjoying their new accommodation. The children promised not to charge the bugs for staying at the hotel and will be back in a few months to do any necessary maintenance and repairs.
