Last autumn a group of green-fingered students from Wormholt Park Primary School visited Television Centre to help the team build a Bug Hotel. One year later and another group of students returned to check on the residents of the hotel and build another hotel to further encourage the local insects and wildlife to visit the site.

Andy, Head Gardener at Television Centre gave the students a tour of the TVC gardens, explaining why certain plants are chosen for each area and the relationship between the insects, wildlife and plants. The students then got to work on Bug Hotel 2 and also created some tasty treats for the squirrels of White City by coating pinecones in peanut butter and tying them to trees.

The insect and animal population at TVC grows from strength to strength thanks to Andy and his team of helpers.
