Soon to be ‘On Air’, a new pub, restaurant and rooftop bar will open at Television Centre on 14 October 2021. Named The Broadcaster, the new venue will introduce an elevated offering of premium British pub food, in surroundings that celebrate local heritage.

The team behind The Broadcaster, Open House, is best known for The Lighterman, and own a number of timeless pubs, or ‘open houses’ across London.

The building design is bold and is a striking addition to Television Centre. Spanning four floors, the venue offers relaxed pub vibes and smart but un-fussy dining. In addition there is a stunning pergola roof top offering unique panoramic views of London.

A focus will be placed on sourcing sustainable, local, British produce with a drinks list curated to include British craft beers, up and coming spirits brands and craft distilleries. The wine list will feature a comprehensive selection of low intervention, organic and biodynamic wines from emerging to established estates with many available to try by the glass.

The food will range from elevated riffs on British pub classics through to dynamic plant-based creations. Launch dishes will include Roasted wild stone bass served with herbed mash; Dry-aged rare-breed sirloin served with turnip and horseradish terrine; and a Wild mushroom and vegan feta pie served with swede and green sauce.

A second floor and expansive rooftop terrace complete will open in early 2022.
